Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair 2013
May 21st, 2013 § 0Over the weekend I was exhibiting at the Derbyshire Food & Drink Fair at Elvaston Castle. I had a great time promoting Fabulous Places and meeting up with familiar faces and introducing my business to lots of new people. The Handpicked Guide to Derbyshire proved very popular with over 1,600 copies being snapped up!
Thank you to everyone who visited the stand, I hope you enjoy the Handpicked Guide and I look forward to seeing you at the Summer Market at The Roundhouse on 7th July!

This week has been fabulously busy and full of exciting new things!
Monday – the Spring/Summer Handpicked Guide to Derbyshire arrived
Tuesday – the first Creative Business Workshop took place
Wednesday – my first visit to the gorgeous new The Cosy Cup at Bow in Matlock
Thursday – the first evening walk with sunshine and my family
Friday – a visit to Southwell in Nottinghamshire
Saturday – a much needed office Spring clean!

Creative Business Workshop

On Tuesday this week the first Creative Business Workshop took place at the gorgeous Blackbrook House in Derbyshire. The day was a huge success and incredibly enjoyable to run.
The Workshop began with a branding and presentation session by Miss Sammie Designs, followed by an inspiration talk by Anne Hyde of Delightful Living. Becky from Butterworth Photography ran a product photography session where attendees also had an opportunity to have a play with photographing products and then it was time for lunch…yum, yum, yum! The afternoon started with a session on exhibiting and selling your products at events, followed by Chloe Adlington who gave a fab talk on making the most of social media.
I am thrilled with how the Workshop has come together and so very grateful to the fabulous businesses who collectively made the day truly inspirational. A big thank you to Butterworth Photography, Miss Sammie Designs, Chloe Adlington, Darby & Joan and Lavender grey.

Fabulous Places Summer Market

With more more handpicked food and gift exhibitors, a vintage tea room, fun for little ones and much more, it really is an event not to be missed!

Summer Food and Gift Market, The Roundhouse, Derbyshire 2013
March 31st, 2013 § 0I’m working on the floor plan for the Summer Market at the moment and I thought I would give you a preview of what’s to come on the 7th July! The Summer Market will be back at The Roundhouse in Derby for a 4th year with more handpicked food and gift exhibitors, the popular vintage tea room, hot food and refreshments on the plaza and fun for little ones.
There’s lots more to do before the plan is finalised ready for print, but already I’m very excited for this year’s Summer Market!
The event is fully booked in record time this year and I’m delighted to have found some truly fabulous food producers and makers and gifts shops to showcase their products at the event.

A fabulous date for your diary…Sunday 7th July 2013 will see the Summer Market returning to the Roundhouse in Derby.
This year’s event is looking great! Enjoy a cream tea in the Darby & Joan pop up Vintage Tea Room, browse even more handpicked food and gift exhibitors and this year’s event is all about nostalgia…strawberries and cream, handmade lemonade, fun for little ones and a venue to take your breath away. I can’t wait!!
